The social heart of our parish, it does exactly what it says on the tin!
Whether it is the Community Café, Busy Bees Playgroup or a visit to the Shepherd’s Hut, all are welcome and the sense of community is strong when we come together.
Please do come along and join your neighbours at any of our events.
Community Café

Welcome to the community café which takes place on Tuesdays from 12:00 to 13:30.
Homemade soup, rolls and cakes with tea and coffee are served by a welcoming team of volunteers.
Come and enjoy some tasty fare in a relaxed atmosphere with old friends and new!
Based in the church hall, we provide a safe, happy and welcoming environment for all.
While everything is free of charge, we gratefully suggest a minimum donation of £3 is given – all donations go towards the work of the Café.
Busy Bees Playgroup
Each Monday and Thursday morning, the Busy Bees Playgroup runs from 10:00 to 12:00.
The sessions are free and open to all parents, grandparents, carers and childminders with little ones up to the age of 4.
No booking is required!

The Shepherd’s Hut

Our food waste reduction project: ‘The Shepherd’s Hut’ runs every Tuesday (from 12-1pm) and Friday (from 3.30-5pm in summer & in winter from 2.30-3.30pm). On Friday afternoons we also run ‘Together Time’ from 2pm when members of the community can meet up for a chat over a cup of tea or coffee served with biscuits or baking.
The Hut is open for anyone resident in our parish area: Burrelton, Campmuir, Cargill, Collace, Kinnochtry, Kinrossie, Newbigging, Wolfhill and Woodside. On your first visit, please bring proof of your address and we will issue you with a membership card!
At the Hut we offer free food collected from Lidl (Blairgowrie) and Marks and Spencer’s (Perth) along with local growers when donations are available. We also offer food bought through Fareshare at prices vastly lower than supermarkets. These items are both fresh and store cupboard favourites, making it possible for households to reduce their weekly food bills whilst also helping to reduce food waste.
We are a “not for profit” project, meaning all money taken in is put back into ordering future products and running the project. We also use the donated foods to make the soup and cakes served in our Community Café.
