The social heart of our parish, it does exactly what it says on the tin!

Whether it is the Community Café, Busy Bees Playgroup or a visit to the Shepherd’s Hut, all are welcome and the sense of community is strong when we come together.

Please do come along to the Church Hall and join your neighbours at any of our events.

Community Café

Community Cafe

Welcome to the community café which takes place on Tuesdays from 12:00 to 13:30.

Homemade soup, rolls and cakes with tea and coffee are served by a welcoming team of volunteers.

Come and enjoy some tasty fare in a relaxed atmosphere with old friends and new!

Based in the church hall, we provide a safe, happy and welcoming environment for all.

While everything is free of charge, we gratefully accept a suggested  donation of £3  which helps towards our running cost and other Hub activities.

Busy Bees Playgroup

Each Monday and Thursday morning, the Busy Bees Playgroup runs from 10:00 to 12:00.

The sessions are free and open to all parents, grandparents, carers and childminders with little ones up to the age of 4. We gratefully accept a suggested  donation of £1 per adult which helps towards our running cost.

No booking is required!

Do you have a glitch in your Matrix? Is there a ghost in your machine?

Come down and use our new hub laptops with internet access and printer. We will be there to help you detangle common computer issues, offer advice on online accounts, shopping over the internet and emails. You can also access free newspapers online via our PKC Library account and complete online courses too!

Support is available on the last Tuesday of every month from 14:00 to 15:30.

The Shepherd’s Hut

This is a Food Waste Reduction Initiative which runs on  Tuesdays from 12noon to 1pm and is Fridays from 3.30pm to 5pm and is open to everyone living in the Cargill Burrelton parish. This initiative is supported by ‘Fareshare’ who deliver surplice food they receive from the food industry and ‘Neighbourly’ who organise the collection of food surplice from local supermarkets, which is collected by our volunteers and made available at the Shepherd’s Hut.

Together Time

Runs on a Friday from 3.30pm to 4.30pm and offers hot drinks and a warm space for folks to sit and chat. This initiative is supported by a Perth & Kinross Council ‘Warm Welcome Fund’ grant.
